Terms & Conditions

At Jula Retreats, we pour our hearts into creating unforgettable wellness experiences for you. Every retreat requires careful planning, trusted partners, and personal attention. By booking a spot, you confirm that you’ve read and agreed to the following:

1. Reservation & Deposit

  • A deposit of $500 per person secures your place (refundable up to 90 days prior to your retreat experience).

  • Your booking is confirmed once the deposit or proof of payment is received.

2. Remaining Payment

  • The remaining balance is due 60 days before the retreat start date.

  • Bookings made within 60 days of the retreat require full payment at the time of booking.

  • If full payment is not received by the due date, your spot may be released and the deposit forfeited.

3. Cancellations by Guests

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • More than 60 days before the retreat: You may transfer your booking to another person or apply your deposit toward a future retreat within 12 months.

  • Within 60 days of the retreat: No refunds or transfers are available.

  • No-shows: Failure to attend without notice will be treated as a cancellation with no refund.

  • We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unforeseen events such as illness, emergencies, or travel disruptions.

4. Health, Safety & Dietary Needs

  • Retreat activities include yoga, movement, workshops, breathwork, and creative sessions. Participation is at your own risk.

  • Please inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or dietary requirements at least 4 weeks before the retreat.

  • While we accommodate most dietary needs, last-minute requests may be limited.

5. Accommodation & Rooming

  • Accommodation is provided by our trusted venue partners. By booking, you agree to abide by the venue’s terms regarding check-in, room usage, and incidentals.

  • Guests are responsible for any personal incidentals (e.g., minibar, in-room dining, spa treatments not included in the retreat package). A personal credit card will be required at check-in for pre-authorisation.

  • Venue partners may apply a credit card guarantee, pre-authorisation, or surcharge (e.g., 2% on credit card payments). These are standard venue policies and outside the control of Jula Retreats.

  • Jula Retreats covers accommodation within the package price unless otherwise stated. Any unpaid incidental charges may be forwarded to the guest or billed to the main client account for settlement.

6. Program Changes & Retreat Uniqueness

  • Each retreat is unique. While core activities are planned, workshops, facilitators, and schedules may change due to partner availability, weather, or other circumstances.

  • We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments while maintaining the overall quality and intent of the retreat.

7. Behavior & Code of Conduct

  • We expect all guests to respect the venue, staff, partners, and fellow attendees.

  • Jula Retreats reserves the right to remove any guest whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or harmful — without refund.

8. Travel

  • Travel to and from the retreat venue is the responsibility of the guest.

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

9. Photography & Media

  • We may take photos or videos during the retreat for marketing purposes.

  • By attending, you consent to the use of images featuring you, unless you notify us in writing prior to the retreat.

10. Limitations of Liability

Jula Retreats accepts no liability for:

  • Personal injury, illness, or accidents during the retreat

  • Loss or damage to personal property

  • Travel disruptions, delays, or additional expenses outside retreat inclusions

11. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
